About Us

The Carlisle Elks Lodge on West Ridge Street has been a fixture of Cumberland County civic life for generations. Members gather here not for appearances but for purpose, to fund scholarships, support veterans, and invest in the kids growing up in this town. That mission runs deeper than the bar tab.

Ask anyone who has rented the hall and they'll mention two names: Chef Dan, whose homemade food draws genuine compliments at every private event, and Maureen, who coordinates the details until everything is exactly right. A 4.5-star rating across 70 reviews is built on nights like those, where the bartender juggles a packed wedding reception without missing a drink.

The Lodge is a members' club first, which means the experience is best when you know what you're walking into. Come for a private event, a charity dinner, or to explore membership, and you'll find a space that is wide open, well-staffed, and genuinely community-minded.

What We Offer

Private event rental is the Lodge's calling card. The hall is spacious enough for wedding receptions, retirement parties, and fundraising banquets, with in-house catering led by Chef Dan and a full bar that keeps pace even on the busiest nights.

Beyond events, active membership connects you to the Elks' national network of community grants, youth programs, and veteran services. Locally, the Carlisle Lodge runs scholarship drives and charitable initiatives that put real dollars back into Cumberland County schools and families.

For groups looking to book, the Lodge works directly with event organizers to customize menus, coordinate logistics, and deliver a smooth experience at a price point that consistently surprises people.

"I do not recommend this club, especially for families with small children. There is a clear lack of tolerance from certain members toward kids, to the point where our children’s food was thrown away out of spite. The overall atmosphere is toxic, with unnecessary drama started and carried on by members for their own entertainment. I grew up with fond memories of the Elks, but this environment has been ruined by the behavior of others. Because of this, we will not be returning."

"I am a member of 45 years and have seen the quality go down over the past year. The weekend specials have gone from steaks and seafood to burgers and dogs and Flatbread pizza. The crowd is down and maybe that's why. Good wings on Thursday night. Prices are going up. I enjoy our club but it needs some help."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
